As a teenager spending summers building houses, Steve Willmarth realized he had a natural talent for hands-on work and a deep pride in building something that would last for decades.

He learned the ins and outs of framing structures, working with stone and brick, and designing and planning even the most unusual projects. Over the next thirty-some years, Steve expanded his knowledge about home construction from the ground up, fortifying his know-how with on-the-job management experience and studies in structural engineering.

When he moved to Virginia from Colorado in 2000, it didn't take long for Steve to feel right at home. The natural settings and cultural history here in Virginia allow for just the sort of projects that inspire Steve and his two sons, Cody and Steven, who have themselves caught the building bug. Now, two generations run River Hollow Construction, building new homes and remodeling spaces for Central Virginians who want to love where they live.
